The San Antonio SHRM awarded its $1,000 Art Edgarian/Charles Umshied Spring 2022 Scholarship to SHRM@A&M-SA member Elissa Gallegos
 

Elissa was also the recipient of the Fall 2021 SAHRMA Scholarship and the SHRM@A&M-SA MATCH Scholarship.  Elissa serves as chapter Programs Officer, taking the lead in planning chapter meeting programs, speaker outreach, and meeting publicity.   

Elissa is a Junior, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management. She is interested in learning more about the HR field, how she can create a better work environment and help others feel and do their best in the workplace. On campus, Elissa
is a Peer Leader in the Office of First-Year Experience. She enjoys
working to create events for students and to help students be successful especially in their First Year Seminar courses.
Elissa notes she enjoys volunteering and spending time with her family and friends.

SHRM Foundation 2021 Academic Scholarship Winner

Leila Muzquiz has been selected by the SHRM Foundation to receive its 2021 Academic Scholarship.  The $2,500.00 SHRM undergraduate scholarship is a national award recognizing f
the academic, volunteer, and work experiences, and career aspirations of a select few HR students 
from universities and colleges across the country.  

In recognition of this achievement, SHRM@A&M-SA awards Leila its $2,500.00 MATCH Scholarship.  Leila is a chapter officer and Management & Marketing major pursuing a
concentration in human resource management She is also a Student Research Assistant at A&M-SA.  


Leila is the second chapter member to receive the prestigious SHRM Foundation Scholarship!

Rose Hernandez has been selected by the SHRM Foundation to receive one of its 2021 Academic Scholarships.  The $2,500.00 SHRM undergraduate scholarship is a national award recognizing the academic, volunteer, and work experiences, and career aspirations of a select few HR students from universities and colleges across the country.

In recognition of this achievement, SHRM@A&M-SA awards Rose its $2,500.00 MATCH Scholarship. Rose is a Management & Marketing major pursuing a concentration in human resource management. She is two-term chapter president and a recipient of the $1,000.00 Spring 2020 and Fall 2019 San Antonio Human Resource Management Association Scholarships and SHRM@A&M-SA MATCH Scholarships.
