The South Texas Human Resources Symposium (STXHRS) is the leading educational event for Human Resource Professionals in the Central and South Texas areas. This year, there are 25 concurrent educational sessions covering a wide variety of HR topics. RECERTIFICATION :


2018 STXHRS speaker/presentation information will be reviewed for approval for recertification credit hour that may be counted toward PHR/SPHR/GPHR recertification from the HR Certification Institute. And Professional Development Credit (PDC) toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification from SHRM The 2017 Symposium provided HR Professional the opportunity to earn 15.5 recertification credits.


Cancellation Policy :


Registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be applied to other events. Registration may be transferred to another person at the same organization if change is requested in writing prior to January 15, 2018. Request for transfer must be submitted via email to cmp@sahrma.org. If transferring to another individual, higher registration fees may apply if membership level is different. Companies paying registrations by company check reserve the right to transfer registration to another current employee. Registration fee will be based on individual’s membership status.

Keynote Speakers

Dr. Lindsay Bira

Dr. Lindsay Bira is a TEDx speaker, clinical health psychologist, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and corporate health and wellness influencer. She received her Ph.D. in clinical health psychology from University of Miami, was a clinical fellow for Harvard Medical School and Boston University School of Medicine and completed an additional 2-year fellowship in trauma psychology. Her clinical research relates to treating posttraumatic stress disorder in the military as well as a range of issues in private practice, and she is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between the complex but important research world and the public.

Jennifer Lee

Jennifer Lee is the Executive Director of Learning and Development at JB Training Solutions. With a robust background in luxury hospitality, human resources, and training, Jennifer has more than ten years of training experience. As the former Learning and Development Director at the AAA Five Diamond-rated Waldorf Astoria Chicago and the former Learning Manager at The Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, Jennifer brings a rich perspective in leadership, sales, management, service, hospitality and presentation skills training. Today, Jennifer works with major companies including Hu-Friedy, Omnicom Group, Subaru, Lettuce Entertain You Restaurant Group, and Eli Lilly.
